As every year, the magical city of Chignahuapan is preparing to host one of the most anticipated events that coincides with the season of the Day of the Dead, the Festival of Light and Life November.

The festival of light and life has its origins in a pre-Hispanic ritual to achieve purification. This great event is part of the traditions of the beautiful city.
The festival begins with the Path of a Thousand Lights at nightfall and on the plinth of the city around a huge colorful mat that tells stories of the Day of the Dead , where hundreds of people light the scene with candles and torches or candles in hand and d ie tour starts along the Calzada de las Almas and leads from the municipality of Santiago Apostol "de los muertos to the shore of the lagoon . " This illuminated path is called "The March of the Torches" or "The Sacrifice of a Thousand Lights". Later, the "March of the Torches" takes place at dusk and serves to receive the souls on the banks of the Chignahuapan.

The Cuexcomate is located in the square of the same name in the city of Puebla. The hill is 13 meters high above the base. The diameter of the body is 23 meters while the crater is only 8 meters . The Cuexcomate weighs an estimated 400 tons. During the time of the new Hispanic Americans it was the place of admission for sinners, suicides were thrown in because they were neither worth the requiem for their souls nor took place in the sacred field. Your tour here includes a fabulous view of the Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl with a visit to the little prince of the two volcanoes, the Cuexcomate volcano.
